Sudden stress can trigger challenging physical and mental states. A dysregulated nervous system tries to protect us from perceived dangers by disconnecting us from our ‘normal selves’. This state can get even more acute in complex trauma survivors.
The good news is that no matter your age, you can learn to return to calm faster. Science has proved that yoga boosts neuroplasticity, which means that your breath and movement can help rewire your brain for greater peace and stability.
In this session, we’ll explore different techniques so you can see what works best for you and build your self-regulation toolkit. Please bring something to jot down your findings.
